We were particularly struck with Rowan’s commitment and devotion to story as the age-old tool that it has been and always will be to remind us of the power our shared human experience represents. Among the stories of Rowan’s great generation will be how she and other artists used their skills and gifts to help us all learn to better navigate a complex and ever-changing world. As a Dramaturg, she will continue to apply the ancient yet ever-relevant power of story as a medium to make real connections that unite, rather than divide, people.
Rowan will enter the Freshman Class at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama in Pittsburgh in the Fall of 2019. On behalf of the Co-Founders and Board of Directors, we wish her well as she steps beyond the borders of Vermont to tell her story and creates powerful new ones.
